The house is distinctive in that it acknowledges the plain style southern vernacular farmhouse roots of the older, utilitarian structures in the area and interprets them in a very modern way. The transecting circulation corridor is an adaptation of the vernacular dog-trot style house formerly so common in the south. The house represents a true southern style in its recognition of climate, site, vernacular heritage and honest, direct use of materials and systems.


The linear form allows the house to be well ventilated thus maximizing enjoyment of the seasons. The open, airy and light living/kitchen/dining area is the heart of the house and all indoor and outdoor spaces extend from this area. The bath/storage/utility core with interior clerestory is a “house within a house” in the gabled, sky-lighted high-ceilinged interior of the main shed.

Stylish Furniture Bedroom by Daniele Lago

We really like this ethereal bed, a stylish furniture piece that was designed in a typical Lago manner, found on HomeTone. Letto New Air was initially introduced at Milan Design week and was created by Daniele Lago. Perfectly fit for elegant bedrooms, Letto New Air features transparent support slabs (which contribute to the floating feeling) and comes equipped with a storage unit that does not interfere with its refined design. According to the manufacturers, “the New AIR Bed picks up the concept behind the AIR Sofa: elements like back rests, seats and shelving are integrated into the structure and can be configured however you wish. The back rests make up the head board, and the shelving can be made to run along the entire perimeter of the bed”. Even though this idea is only suited for large bedrooms, we appreciate its originality. How do you find it?

Awesome Taiwan Noodle Restaurant in Beijing , China

For those of you who want a sample design for the restaurant business, the following we will show a design Taiwan noodle restaurant located in Beijing, China. The design was designed by the International Golucci. The place has an original interior and consists of a single large dining room, where people are not separated in any way. The table arrangements inspire openness and seem to be an invite to socializing. This is the type of restaurant where you go have a peaceful meal and a quality laugh with your friends, rather than a romantic dinner with your loved one. Thousands of plates were used as decorating items, creating an atmosphere that is partially traditional. The modern touch is added by the ceiling lamps and decorations. Large windows provide unobstructed views of the city and plenty of natural light during daytime. How would you feel about dining in a place like this? In your opinion, does its design make up for the lack of privacy?
